DG Rogel Message/Letter

Dear Fellow District 16J Lions,

Greetings! Welcome to the new Lion year 2024-2025. I would like to personally welcome you all to another year of service.

Our district pin shows three universal virtues - FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE. These, I believe, are foundations of our service – FAITH in who we are as Lions, that the service we do, great or small, will make a difference in others and in the world;

HOPE in our hearts that we will always have the dedication and commitment to serve others and that our work will bear much fruits; and LOVE in our mission of service, for true and meaningful service comes from the heart which is the abode of love.

Let us continue to do the great things that we do, help increase our membership in line with our Mission 1.5, and do more service projects. Let us endeavor to foster collaboration and share ideas and best practices. There are so many wonderful things to learn from each other and so many opportunities to inspire each other to serve. With all of us working together in unity and camaraderie, we could achieve much more, impact more lives, and contribute more to make this world a better place.

Our International President Fabricio Oliveira's theme is 'MAKE YOUR MARK'. To echo his message,  everywhere we serve, every time we give, we bring kindness and compassion, change, and hope… and we make our mark on the lives we touch, the communities we serve and the world we share.   

With FAITH, HOPE, LOVE, we serve.
